The historic Hotel Bedford is located in the main square of downtown Goderich on the corner of South Street and Courthouse Square. Built in 1896 after the Albion Hotel burnt down, the Hotel Bedford was rose from the ashes, being built on the same foundations.
John Bedford, who owned the Albion and then the Hotel Bedford, ran the Hotel Bedford until his death around 1935. Since 2000, the hotel has been owned and operated by the Bowen family.
