This is a two row John Deere Model 44 W seeder for cotton or corn. Gandy feeders have been mounted, probably to supplement the Deere seed buckets with a supply of fertilizer. The seeder probably dates to the late 1930's or early 40's. The original paint is in decent shape with the model number obvious. The information plates on the Gandy feeders are still clear although their red paint has deteriorated to rust.
