The Trail is a unique, metal mural, depicting a cattle drive. It is located on the south wall of Garfield Furniture and Mattresses Too. The mural is approximately 10' high and 50' long. At the left forefront are the cattle in the lead, with the others up and behind. A cowboy on his horse is to the viewer's right, and a herding dog is between the cattle and the man.
From the Visit Enid website:
The Trail metal mural by Enid artist Paul Stone was created to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Chisholm Trail, to be part of a three-state celebration that included Kansas and Texas. The metal mural depicts life on the Chisholm Trail. Enid native and Chisholm Trail historian Bob Klemme's likeness is featured as the rider on the mural. The Trail was dedicated on December 15, 2016, which was Klemme's 91st birthday. He was on hand for the celebration. A.W. Brueggemann Co. performed the metal cutting, the coating was done by Scorpion Coatings while Dierksen Buildings provided the installation.
