The Eloy history museum is housed in the original Eloy school. Eloy is a small cotton farming community is southern Arizona. The name, Eloy, is a railroad abbreviation of Eastern Leg of the Yuma railroad. The railroad couldn't be bothered to keep writing that all out, thus Eloy. And the Post Office approved it.
Sitting among other tractors, this Farmall appears fairly new. The model C label is still quite apparent and the red paint is still mostly red. The tractor bears the serial number FC 8609 which puts it in the middle of the 1948 production run. A yellow scraper is mounted on the rear and a rearview mirror adds a touch of safety on modern roads.
