The Falls of the Ohio area is known to be where Louis and Clark started planning their trip across the continent to the Pacific. The falls are also known for all the fossils embeded in the bedrock. This plaque is mounted to a piece of the bedrock that contains many fossils. From this point the view of the Ohio River is blocked by trees.
