A lovely 2-acre cemetery in Jamestown, Michigan. It contains a mixture of old and new stones. Many of Jamestown's early settlers are interred here. A quiet street and tall pines add to the peaceful environment of the cemetery.

Jamestown, Michigan, was first settled about 1843. In 1863, this public cemetery was laid out in the southwest corner of the NW1/4, Section 15. The two acres were bought from William Radley. Mr. Frank Gitchel was the first to be buried in the cemetery. As the years passed, many of the early families in Jamestown removed the remains of their loved ones from their original burying sites to the cemetery. Four generations of some families are buried in this cemetery.
