The single-track bridge was built by the Pennsylvania Railroad between 1848 and 1850. It was in use until 1892. The multi-span stone arch bridge carried trains across Standing Stone Creek. Whith the new alignment of the mainline a wider, 4 track, bridge was built 170' south of this location. The bridge has been disconnected at both ends.
