Dunnet Head Lighthouse is located at the most northerly point of the Scottish mainland.

The Lighthouse was built by Robert Stevenson in 1831. The stone-built tower is 20m high and stands on the cliff top of Easter Head on Dunnet Head.

The tower is white with no coloured bands. The character of the light is flashing (4) White every 30 seconds. At an elevation of 105m the range of the light is 23 nautical miles.

The lighthouse was automated on 31 March 1989 and is monitored remotely by the Northern Lighthouse Board from Edinburgh.
