This bench is dedicated to Mike Simpson and is located alongside a public footpath near to the grounds of the privately owned Ripley Castle in the village of Ripley.

The footpath follows the route of Hollybank Lane. It also forms part of a circular walking route around the the outskirts of the town of Harrogate. This walking route is known as the Harrogate Ringway and is well sgnposted.
At this point the path is the middle of woodland and is popular with dog walkers which is appropriate for the dedication plaque on the bench.

and friends and deeply missed by all of us
and by Ruby the latest in Jan and Mike's family of dogs.
