A military cemetery from the First World War, it is very well maintained like all the others in the region. It is important to discover these places of memory. Let us never forget these young people coming to die with us for our freedom.

"The village of Islettes is located behind the front during the First World War and welcomes the most seriously wounded.

The soldiers are first buried around the church. From 1915, the national necropolis is created.

The bodies come from the temporary cemeteries of Rarécourt, Froidos, Neufour, Auzéville, Parois, Futeau and La Harazée.

There are, in 1919, 1,600 bodies of soldiers of the Great War including 4 graves of soldiers of the 129th Infantry Regiment shot in Rarécourt on June 28, 1917. There are today 2226 soldiers."

On dénombre aujourd’hui 2226 soldats."
