Article text:

On Monday, police released the body camera and dash-camera footage from a traffic stop in Edmond on Sunday morning.

Following the stop, a high-speed chase ensued. It all started when an officer pulled someone over just east of the University of Central Oklahoma campus.

The driver sped off when the officer got out of his car. The officer can be heard in the footage saying that they were traveling 80 miles per hour on Edmond Road.

The suspect drove in the turn lane and even drove in the wrong lane at one point during the chase. In total, the chase lasted about a minute and was called off when the suspect ran a red light on 2nd Street.

Moments later, someone called the police to report an abandoned vehicle near W 7th Street and Fretz Avenue in Edmond. Turns out, it was the vehicle the suspect had been driving.

Officers found the driver and passenger nearby and arrested them.
