At the southwest corner of the intersection of E0610 Road and N2899 Road is an interesting complex; Mt. Zion Church and Morrison Hall, and between them a red brick pioneer memorial. Although the buildings are abandoned, the grass had been recently mowed on my visit, so some one is maintaining the site. I could find no trace of the origin of the name "Morrison" - there is no evidence of a town by that name, and Morrison Cemetery (a mile east) has no Morrison grave sites. Mt. Zion Church is a white wood-sided building with (mostly) boarded-up windows. I was able to peek in through one and see a stack of pews and the church piano. However it is clear that the church is no longer in use.
