While many like to fish by the dam, it looks like the pros tend to walk the nearby Concrete Trail and blaze their own path down to the Trinity River, where the view is more scenic anyways.

This project consists of two beautiful varnished boards, one bearing "Ray Roberts Lake State Park Greenbelt" and the other "Catch of the Day", with a third with a more practical stain finish, with five hooks to hang your catch as you pose for photos or whatever. An identification plaque is attached to the bottom board, reading "Eagle Scout Project Drake Keffer Troop 65, 2019".

There's a little something about Drake on the Twitter feed for Bronco Aquatics (Denton High School), with a photo of him in his uniform (prior to getting the Eagle badge and medal), and noting the pride in his achievement.
