The Cudillero lighthouse (in Asturian , Faru de Cuideiru ) is located in the town of Cudillero , Principality of Asturias ( Spain ), at Punta Roballera, on the eastern bank of the port entrance.

Its ownership is attached to the Port Authority of Avilés.

History

Inaugurated in 1858, it replaced the old signaling system, which consisted of the use of bonfires lit by the fishermen's wives. It was electrified in 1930. In 1945 a siren was installed, which emits the letter "D" in Morse code, since the letter "C", which would be the logic, was already used by the Candás lighthouse .
