[FIN] "Vartiovuoren vesisäiliö oli Turun VANHIN vesitorni, joka sijaitsee Vartiovuorenmäellä tähtitornin kupeessa. Säiliö valmistui vuonna 1903 ja oli vesitilavuudeltaan 1080 kuutiometriä. Vesi säiliöön pumpattiin aluksi Kaarningon pohjavesilaitoksesta ja vuodesta 1922 lähtien Halisista, jonne oli valmistunut uusi vesilaitos. Vesisäiliö poistettiin vesihuoltokäytöstä vuonna 1941, jolloin silloiselle Ryssänmäelle rakennettu uusi vesilinna aloitti toimintansa."

[EN] "The Vartiovuori water reservoir was the OLDEST water tower in Turku, located on the Vartiovuorenmäki next to the observatory. The tank was completed in 1903 and had a water volume of 1,080 cubic meters. Water was initially pumped into the tank from the Kaarningon groundwater plant and, from 1922, from Halinen, where a new water plant had been completed. The water tank was taken out of water supply in 1941, when a new water tower built on the then Ryssänmäki began operating."
