"The house was originally bui1t as a residence by C. L. Randolph, local builder and contractor. In 1929, the owners, H.W. Michels, remodeled their one story house into a two story duplex which contains 2 six room apartment, each with separate basement and upper story. William Walther was the contractor for the project. The present owner purchased the property from Boonslick Savings & Loan, who had repossessed it from Bessie Messinger. A previous owner to her was Gilbert Shannon.

"There are no outbuildings, however a concrete foundation remains at the NW corner of the lot. The structure faces S onto High. An alley runs to the immediate W of it." ~ Boonville Historic Survey  PDF pages 1408-1411
