The purpose of the museum is to show the history of the Scanian Air Flotilla (F 10), and is housed in the premises of the former 103rd Fighter Aviation Division. The museum is run by F 10 Kamratförening, whose purpose is to bring together former F 10 staff and other aviation enthusiasts to maintain friendship and honor the memory of F 10 and follow the Air Force's development.
The museum has a number of objects related to F 10 on display, such as uniforms, radar equipment, engines, vehicles and aircraft. Remains from one of the Avro Lancasters that crashed in Scania in 1944 during World War II are also preserved. The museum also has 2 flight simulators, which can be tested by visitors.
In December 2010, the museum received a JAS 39A Gripen, which after various works was exhibited in the spring of 2011. The aircraft individual, 39101, has been used in various tests at Saab and has not served on F 10 before. [1] [2]
