This Info board gives various emergency and safety information for those using the beach - notably the emergency telephone number and Grid reference location.

Safety information includes speed limit (8 knots), various hazards - strong currents, breaking waves, rock falls, shelving beach - and various prohibited activities - using inflatables in the sea, removal of materials from beach, swimming in river, feeding gulls, littering.

the beach is not lifeguarded.

Dogs are not allowed on the beach between 1 May and 30 September.

I have a suspicion that these signs have either been mis-printed, or mis-placed. That may account for the disparity in Grid Ref and GPS coordinates. It is highly probable that the sign at N50.70348535469451, W3.061075235012909 would have the Grid Ref SY 2474 8986 (or therabouts)
