The Transpeninsular Line marks the southern border of Delaware and cuts the Delmarva peninsula in half. The "mid point" of the Transpeninsular is marked by a Mason Dixon marker (the southernmost), which acts as the western border of Delaware.

The border turns roughly north from the midpoint of the line towards the Twelve-Mile Circle, which forms much of the remainder of the Delaware land border."
