The Merriton Bridge is metal bow-string truss bridge built in 1879 having two unequal spans of 16.2m and 23.9m.. The original wooden decking has been replaced with reinforced concrete. The bridge was replaced by a wider , stronger bridge 50m away in the 1980's.
