The Maasoever Railway has a track of approximately one kilometer in length in the Oude Maas Oost nature and recreation area, south of Barendrecht along the Oude Maas. The track gauge is 7 1/4 inch (184mm) combined with 5 inch (127mm).
The railway is also the longest 5-inch track in the Netherlands and is located in an oval and has two level crossings that cross the cycle path. Furthermore, the railway contains a bridge, a tunnel and a station. The station is close to the pancake house “De Oude Maas”. Opposite the station is a playground for children where they can swing, slide and play in the sand. There is also a snack bar here for delicious fries or cooling ice cream.
The track is linked to the depot, where our sidings, turntable, ring shed, workshop and of course our clubhouse are located. There is also a continuous track on this site. Via this track we can extend the track and drive over our depot
