La gare de Valréas était sur la ligne Pierrelatte à Nyons. Elle a été fermée en 1951 et déclassée en 1954.

Aujourd'hui, cette ancienne et très grande gare a été transformée et accueille : espaces de loisirs et de culture (cinéma, théâtres, musée, nombreuses installations sportives, piscine découverte…), des services sociaux et de santé de qualité (centre hospitalier, centre médicosocial, médecins généralistes, pharmacies, infirmières...)
Une très grande fresque en trompe-l'oeil est là pour rappeler les éléments et personnages emblématiques de l'histoire de la commune.
* Vers 1840, Ferdinand Revoul crée le cartonnage à Valréas pour satisfaire la demande de Meynard, un sériciculteur valréassien. En 1897, la ligne de chemin de fer Nyons-Pierrelatte atteint la ville et Valréas en profite pour développer son industrie et devient ainsi la capitale mondiale du cartonnage.
* Le majestueux Château de Simiane, ancienne demeure de Pauline, la petite-fille de la Marquise de Sévigné.
* Le bassin agricole et viticole dynamique (truffes, vins, lavande, herbes aromatiques…).

Cette fresque est une création de 7e Sens réunit trois artistes indépendants en un Groupement d'intérêt Économique (GIE).

The Valréas station was on the Pierrelatte line at Nyons. It was closed in 1951 and decommissioned in 1954.

Today, this old and very large station has been transformed and accommodates: leisure and cultural areas (cinema, theaters, museum, numerous sports facilities, outdoor swimming pool, etc.), social and health services quality (hospital center, medico-social center, general practitioners, pharmacies, nurses, etc.)
A very large trompe-l'oeil fresco is there to recall the elements and emblematic characters of the history of the town.
* Around 1840, Ferdinand Revoul created the cardboard box in Valréas to meet the demand of Meynard, a Valréassien sericulture. In 1897, the Nyons-Pierrelatte railway line reached the city and Valréas took the opportunity to develop its industry and thus became the world capital of cardboard packaging.
* The majestic Château de Simiane, former home of Pauline, the granddaughter of the Marquise de Sévigné.
* The dynamic agricultural and wine-growing area (truffles, wines, lavender, aromatic herbs, etc.).

This fresco is a creation of 7e Sens brings together three independent artists in an Economic Interest Group (GIE).
