L’artiste Nicolae Razvan Mincu prenait part à la 3e édition de l’International de la sculpture de Saint-Georges qui se tenait du 3 au 21 juin dernier. Pour l’occasion, le Roumain, qui a participé à 36 Symposiums à travers le monde, a procédé à la création de la pièce « La fontaine de l’ange ».
Suggérant une aile portant la structure du temps, des étoiles et de l’eau, l’œuvre de pierre abstraite s’avère riche en symboles. Son sujet est d’ailleurs inspiré d’une légende roumaine porteuse d’images, où l’on raconte que dans les montagnes, une grande pierre était touchée par l’aile d’un ange qui en faisait jaillir une eau claire et purificatrice.

L’histoire, tout comme l’œuvre érigée à Saint-Georges, exprime la liaison entre la nature (les humains) et les puissances créatrices. Bref, l’artiste propose une poésie visuelle aux abords de la rivière Chaudière quant à l’Homme universel et son parcours sur Terre. « Je crois que nous sommes des poussières d’étoiles. Nous sommes des Hommes qui avons beaucoup d’affinité avec l’univers », exprime Nicolae Razvan Mincu.
Pour l’artiste, les symboles sont nécessaires dans la sculpture parce qu’ils permettent de comprimer l’émotion et tous les aspects importants à la vie. « L’art fait comme cela. Ce n’est pas seulement en sculpture », conclut-il.
