Svanshall is a fishing village in the town of Jonstorp by western Skälderviken in Jonstorp parish in northwestern Skåne, about 25 kilometers north of Helsingborg. The nearest village to the south is Jonstorp; to the north along the coast are the villages of Skäret and Arild. Svanshall was classified as a small town by Statistics Sweden in 1990, but then grew together with Jonstorp.
In Svanshall there is a guest harbor and lighthouse. On 15 July 1749, Carl von Linné passed Svanshall on his Scanian journey. It was noted: "Svanehall is located 3 quarts from Krapparp wid Norra hafs-siden, where this rock type is mined to Spisar och Skårstenar." [1]
