Pavilion of Knowledge marks birthday with free entry party for all
"Anniversary day of the Pavilion of Knowledge, which means it's time to experiment while playing. The space, in Lisbon, has been open for 20 years, and this Thursday there is free entry for everyone.
The director of the network at the Ciência Viva center, Rosalia Vargas, told TSF this morning that the theme of the party is the circus, so that joy and science are reacting in the same chemical equation. "We created a party with a circus inside, even because we have a large exhibition, which is Tcharan! Circus of experiments, with science and circus. We're going to challenge physics with juggling numbers, rope walks and rubber bands like the trapeze artists. Who is it? who doesn't want to try it, and safely?"
In 20 years of existence, the Pavilion of Knowledge has hosted many temporary exhibitions and received several distinguished visitors: presidents, scientists from all areas, astronauts, and all those who like to walk with their heads on the moon.
However, there are rooms that have remained almost unchanged since the first day, and any changes are always noticed: "The most popular room we have - Explora room - remains in my modules since the opening, and materializes phenomena of the nature. When we remove a module for some reason, we have someone to ask for it."
The doors of the Pavilion of Knowledge open at 10am. Admission is free and there are activities inside and outside the museum. Rosalia Vargas leaves the invitation made: "Today we really want you to join us on this festive day.""
