Highland Cemetery is on the east side of Highway 18, on the north side of Pawnee. This is a well maintained cemetery with some shade trees scattered about. Near the center of the grounds are a Pawnee County Rough Riders monument and the final resting place (mausoleum) of Pawnee Bill (Gordon William Lillie). There are quite a few centenarians laid to rest here as well.
