"In 1890 the original country house "villa Rozenhof" was demolished. A year later, a little north of this place, a house of the same name in Renaissance style - even with a dome - was built. This somewhat pompous house was inhabited for several years by the family of Graaf van Rechteren Limpurg. After only 4 years of occupation, the property was sold again for a price of 3200 guilders. The buyers were the Colombijn brothers who had founded the Levensverzekeringsmaatschappij Dordrecht in 1874. The accompanying garden was sacrificed by this insurer around 1900 in the role of project developer to build new mansions. Streets were given the name Dordrechtstraat and Levensverzekeringstraat. After 1918, the tax authorities moved into the building. It still serves as an office building."
