While Sizzler has seen its best days -- there may be about a hundred locations remaining across the US, primarily out west and in Puerto Rico, this California-based chain does have its following. They are best known for their steaks, chicken, seafood, and salad bar. It's counter service, and you'll have a server who will bring your food to you, handle your drink order, and take care of any other needs. The wi-fi signal is actually quite fast, but good luck finding any outlets to plug in. If they're there, they're hiding under the table in your booth and will require serious contortion to reach.

For those who like trivia, US 491 was once US 666, a loop route off of the better-known US 66 where travelers got their kicks before the rise of the Interstate system. Ignorance and superstition prompted the renumbering of the highway in 2003, at taxpayer expense, of course.
