Frances Xavier Cabrini (1850 - 1917), était une religieuse catholique italo-américaine. Elle a fondé les Sœurs Missionnaires du Sacré-Cœur de Jésus, un institut religieux catholique qui était un soutien majeur à ses compatriotes italiens immigrés aux États-Unis. Elle a été la première citoyenne américaine à être canonisée comme sainte par l'Église catholique romaine, le 7 juillet 1946.

Le parc est constitué d’un espace gazonné en pente et un espace boisé. Il s'agit un lieu privilégié pour se détendre, profiter des attraits de la nature ou pratiquer des loisirs en plein air.

Le parc est très populaire surtout en hiver, en tant que glissade. En effet, la pente du parc est une ancienne piste de ski alpin qui devient un endroit incontournable de la région pour la luge, le toboggan, les "crazy carpets" et les tubes de glissade.

Mercier–Hochelaga-Maisonneuve est un arrondissement de la ville de Montréal. Il est d'une superficie de 24,5 km2 et a une population de 136 024 habitants (en 2016).

It was named in memory of Francesca Cabrini (Frances Xavier Cabrini)

Frances Xavier Cabrini (1850 - 1917), was an Italian-American Catholic nun. She founded the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, a Catholic religious institute that was a major support to her Italian compatriots who immigrated to the United States. She was the first American citizen to be canonized as a saint by the Roman Catholic Church on July 7, 1946.

The park consists of a sloping grassy area and a wooded area. It is a privileged place to relax, enjoy the attractions of nature or practice outdoor recreation.

The park is very popular especially in winter, as a sledding place. Indeed, the slope of the park is a former Alpine ski track, which becomes an essential place in the region for sledding, tobogganing, "crazy carpets" and sliding tubes.

Mercier – Hochelaga-Maisonneuve is a borough of the city of Montreal. It covers an area of ??24.5 km2 and has a population of 136,024 inhabitants (in 2016).
