"A 60-year-old man from Woodland died Wednesday morning after he was knocked off his bicycle by a car on southbound County Road 99.

The incident occurred at around 5:49 a.m. about half a mile from County Road 27 when the driver of a 1998 Honda Accord struck the bicyclist, who was identified as Francisco Lopez, according to a California Highway Patrol report.

CHP Officer Phil Gruidl said Lopez was riding in the fog line and was wearing a helmet and had a light.

The driver, identified as 19-year-old Markus Morris, of Woodland, was traveling at 50 miles an hour. No charges have been filed and the incident is under investigation, Gruidl said." (visit link)
