Located in downtown Clewiston, Florida is the Civic Park. A section of the park has been set up to honor veterans who either came from Clewiston or served in the area. During World War II the British government sent its Royal Air Force cadets to the United States to train since training in England was not safe. Nearby Riddle Field was the training site for many of these cadets.
