NL Op de camping (Uit en Thuis bij Bergen op Zoom) hadden wij zin in een gebakken visje. Dus ik mocht naar Hoogerheide rijden want we hadden al eerder gezien dat er een viszaak op het Raadhuisplein zit. Nu ook even wat foto's genomen om de zaak te waymarken. De eigenaars vonden het een goede zaak toen ik zei dat ik een waymark ging maken. De kibbeling vonden wij erg lekker, ik had alleen te weinig gehaald!

"Het pand op het centrale plein in Hoogerheide stond al een tijdje leeg nadat een andere vishandel op die plek stopte. Bert-Jan heeft al ruim zeventien jaar ervaring in de vishandel en was op zoek naar werk. Uit een marktonderzoek in hun woonplaats Tholen bleek dat er daar weinig markt was voor een (vierde) viszaak. De omstandigheden in Hoogerheide zagen er gunstiger uit. Burgemeester Adriaansen opende de zaak op in september 2016.

Naast een glazen toonbank met daarin verse vis, is er ook een toonbank met daarin allerlei gerechten en schotels. Grote kans dat bij visliefhebbers het water in de mond loopt bij het zien van de zorgvuldig opgemaakte toonbanken met verse visproducten in scherfijs. Het is dan ook mogelijk om ter plekke een vorkje te prikken. “Er is niks lekkerder dan vis dat net uit het vet komt”, zegt Bert-Jan.

Iedere maand organiseert Visspecialist de Vos op een woensdag een dineravond in de zaak. Bezoekers krijgen dan een viergangenmenu verrassingsmenu voor 39,50 euro. Voor de dineravonden is reserveren noodzakelijk. Het grote succes van de dineravonden blijkt wel uit het feit dat ze tot mei 2018 volgeboekt zijn. Vanaf het voorjaar willen ze extra dineravonden organiseren waarop gastkoks worden uitgenodigd."

ENG At the campsite (Uit en Thuis near Bergen op Zoom) we felt like a fried fish. So I was allowed to drive to Hoogerheide because we had already seen that there is a fish shop on the Raadhuisplein. Now also some pictures to waymark the case. The owners thought it was a good thing when I said I was going to make a waymark. We really liked the kibbeling, I just didn't get enough!

"The building on the central square in Hoogerheide had been empty for a while after another fishmonger closed down there. Bert-Jan has more than seventeen years of experience in the fish trade and was looking for work. A market survey in their hometown of Tholen showed that there was little market there for a (fourth) fish store.The circumstances in Hoogerheide looked more favourable.Mayor Adriaansen opened the business in September 2016.

In addition to a glass counter with fresh fish, there is also a counter with all kinds of dishes and dishes. There is a good chance that fish lovers will water their mouths when they see the carefully arranged counters with fresh fish products in flake ice. It is therefore possible to prick a fork on the spot. “There is nothing tastier than fish that has just come out of the fat,” says Bert-Jan.

Every month, Visspecialist de Vos organizes a dinner evening in the restaurant on a Wednesday. Visitors then receive a four-course surprise menu for 39.50 euros. Reservations are required for dinner evenings. The great success of the dinner evenings is evident from the fact that they are fully booked until May 2018. From the spring they want to organize extra dinner evenings to which guest chefs are invited."
