Black Mountain Tower has had a long history in Canberra. And there are many signs around to explain its story, but if you would like a more details please visit www.telstratower.com.au.
When I was a kid it was known as Telecom Tower then Telstra Tower, now everyone just knows it as Black Mountain Tower.
I have been up it many a time - for school, work, romance and for showing visitors and family the views.
But the one thing I love most about this tower (being a born and bred Canberrain) was whenever and wherever I have traveled, there is no place like home and as you drive in from the north and you see the tower - you know you’re home.
