Starting at West Sugarland Highway (US Highway 27/State Road 80) and running north and then northwest is Ponce de Leon Avenue.
Ponce de Leon Avenue starts out as a two lane avenue and then becomes a boulevard with a grassy tree lined divider as it turns northwest, however, it retains its avenue designation and does not become an official boulevard despite the physical change.
Ponce de Leon Avenue is one of the first streets to be platted in the town. It is located in the downtown historical area. The U.S. Sugar corporate office are located at the beginning of this street.
