Gambrill State Park is located on a section of the Catoctin Mountains north of Interstate 70. It is mostly primative outside of the South Camping area and the High Knob parking area which has access to the Tea Room, overlook, nature center and a place honoring the Civilian Conservation Corp. A popular local trail ends in this park by the name of the Catoctin Trail, and there are other trails here to enjoy as well, though expect it to be rocky.
