Saint John of Nepomuk (or John Nepomucene) [Czech: Jan Nepomucký; German: Johannes Nepomuk; Latin: Ioannes (or Ioannis) Nepomucenus (c. 1345 – March 20, 1393) is the saint of Bohemia (Czech Republic), who was drowned in the Vltava river at the behest of Wenceslaus, King of the Romans and King of Bohemia. Later accounts state that he was the confessor of the queen of Bohemia and he refused to divulge the secrets of the confessional. On the basis of this account, John of Nepomuk is considered the first martyr of the Seal of the Confessional, a patron against calumnies and, because of the manner of his death, a protector from floods and drowning.

V centru obce na námestí v rámci parkove upravené plochy stojí na širokém volutovém podstavci pískovcová skulptura svetce. Podstavec je tvoren profilovaným soklem s výžlabkem a oblounem, stredová volutove vydutá cást zdobená palmetami a chronogramem na celní strane je zakoncená vyloženou profilovanou rímsou. Latinský, kapitálou rytý chronogram obsahuje tento text: DIVO / IOANNI / NEPOMUCENO /CONSERVATORI / HONORIS ET FAMAE / VENERANDISSIMO. / VENERATIONIS ERGO / HANC STATUAM POSUIT / CANONIA GRADICENSIUM. Vlastní socha svetce stojí na nízkém oblounem profilovaném plintu a oblacné základne s andílcími hlavickami. Skulptura je pojata spíše staticky s hlavou natocenou k levému rameni. Sv. Jan je oden do kanovnického roucha s rochetou a kožešinovou mozzettou a s biretem na hlave. Kolem hlavy svetci obíhá svatozár s peti pozlacenými hvezdami. Postava obema rukama svírá krucifix a palmovou ratolest.
