The chronograms are located on the sandstone pedestal. The Roman numerals of chronograms are larger than the other letters and are not color-coded from the rest of the text.
The statue is located in front of The Church of Our Lady of the Angels. The church is situated near the town cemetery, close to the centre of Vyškov. Originally it was a Capuchin church, which represents typical Capuchin architecture corrected by strict regulations of the Order. Apart from the church and oratory itself, the cellars under the defunct residential buildings of the former monastery and a well have also been preserved.

Saint John of Nepomuk (or John Nepomucene) [Czech: Jan Nepomucký; German: Johannes Nepomuk; Latin: Ioannes (or Ioannis) Nepomucenus (c. 1345 – March 20, 1393) is the saint of Bohemia (Czech Republic), who was drowned in the Vltava river at the behest of Wenceslaus, King of the Romans and King of Bohemia. Later accounts state that he was the confessor of the queen of Bohemia and he refused to divulge the secrets of the confessional. On the basis of this account, John of Nepomuk is considered the first martyr of the Seal of the Confessional, a patron against calumnies and, because of the manner of his death, a protector from floods and drowning.

Socha je umístená pred kostelem Panny Marie Andelské pri mestském hrbitove, poblíž centra mesta Vyškov. Puvodne se jednalo o kapucínský chrám, který tak predstavuje typickou kapucínskou architekturu korigovanou prísnými rádovými predpisy. Krom samotného kostela a oratore se též dochovaly sklepy pod zaniklými obytnými budovami nekdejšího kláštera a studna.
