Following the Thirty Years´ War (the deadliest European religious war between the years 1618-1648), the city has been embellished with many baroque reconstructions, new buildings and sculptures, including The Holy Trinity Column (Plague Column), which was also constructed on the town´s square. Plague Column is a huge stone column built to commemorate unfortunate events of the past, in this case a plague, which spread throughout the city in 1680 and the rebellion against the said form of slavery. Several leaders of the rebellion were executed on the town´s square at that time.
The chronogram is located on the sandstone pedestal of Marian column. The Roman numerals of chronograms are larger than the other letters and are not color-coded from the rest of the text.
