It might be best to look before having a seat on that bench, lest a bird invoke its own particular castle doctrine. This is a quaint little cottage, made of wood, capable of holding a small nest, although the occupants weren't nearby at the time the photographs were taken. The birdhouse is made of wood, painted mostly white with blue for the trim, with a gabled roof and a bricked chimney at the top center. Two shuttered windows are on the long sides, while there is nothing on the back. There is a place to perch just outside of the front opening, and there's a blue picket fence. The birdhouse is in pretty good condition, but could benefit from a touch-up.
