Photos taken on 29 September 2021. Granitoid is a class of igneous rocks where feldspars and quartz make up the majority of the composition of the rock. Feldspars such as k-felds (potassium feldspar appears pinkish red to orange) and plagioclase (translucent white) cooled along side quartz (usually transparent, but can be translucent depending on impurities).
