[FR] Les villes de Fondettes (France) et Naurod (Allemagne) sont jumelées depuis 1975. En 2019, la comité de jumelage de Naurod offrit un banc blanc à la ville de Fondettes.

Le banc est situé en face de l'entrée de l'Hôtel de Ville de Fondettes, du côté de la Rue Ernest Dupuy. La place comprend également 4 mâts avec les drapeaux de la commune de Fondettes, de la Touraine, de la France et de l'Europe. Au pied des mâts, une plaque au sol commémore le jumelage de Fondettes et Naurod, avec les blasons des deux villes.

Les armoiries de Naurod Wiesbaden datent de 1954. Elles représentent le symbole du Saint-Laurent, une grille, le saint patron de la ville. Le plus ancien sceau connu de Naurod date de 1671 et représente le saint patron tenant la grille. Dans les bras, la grille est associée à deux axes, symbole de la partie -Rod du nom, dérivé du mot Roden, ou clairière de forêt. Les couleurs sont celles de l'État de Nassau, auquel la commune appartenait jusqu'en 1803.

[EN] The towns of Fondettes (France) and Naurod (Germany) have been twinned since 1975. In 2019, the Naurod twinning committee offered a white bench to the town of Fondettes.

The bench is located in front of the entrance to the Hôtel de Ville de Fondettes, on the side of Rue Ernest Dupuy. The square also includes 4 poles with the flags of the commune of Fondettes, Touraine, France and Europe. At the foot of the masts, a plaque on the ground commemorates the twinning of Fondettes and Naurod, with the coats of arms of the two towns.

The oldest known seal of Naurod dates from 1671 and shows the patron saint, holding the grill. In the arms the grill is combined with two axes, symbol for the -Rod part of the name, which is derived from the word Roden, or clearing of forest.
