St. Paul Church In Taylor originally began in 1890 as a tiny mission effort. The effort did not fully succeed until 1913.

  • October, 1913 Ladies’ Aid organized.
  • April, 1914 Sunday School organized.
  • October, 1914 St. Paul congregation organized.
  • May, 1915 Rev. A. C. Hartmann becomes first pastor.
  • March, 1916 Severed connections with Immanuel, West Taylor.
  • March, 1917 Cornerstone of first church laid.
  • July, 1917 Dedication of the church.
  • December, 1921 Rev. Theo Krienke called.
  • January, 1930 Rev. A. D. Rode installed.
  • October, 1932 Purchased old Baptist Church and adjoining lot on Fowzer St. (across from church).
  • October, 1939 Silver Anniversary of the congregation. The Brotherhood organized.
  • December, 1945 Rev. George Krueger installed.
  • February, 1947 Rev. H. C. Ziehe installed.
  • November, 1951 Rev. Roald Braulick installed.
  • April, 1956 Rev. E. A. Heye installed.
  • February, 1957 Cornerstone of new church laid.
  • May, 1957 Dedication of new church and one educational unit.
  • January, 1961 Merger of three Lutheran bodies to form American Lutheran Church.
  • October, 1963 Rev. David A. Heidtke installed.
  • September, 1967 Kindergarten was established.
  • March, 1971 Dedication of Educational Building.
  • March, 1971 Rev. David Bulgerin installed.
  • July, 1979 Intern Ron Dobervich installed.
  • August, 1979 Day Care Center opened in old Lutheran Center.
  • November, 1988 Rev. Robert Letalien installed as Senior Pastor.
  • January, 1992 New Constitution and By-Laws were adopted.
  • October, 1994 Pastor David Tietz was installed.
  • 2008 Pastor Gary A. Veit was installed as Senior Pastor.
  • June 2010 Members decided to leave the ELCA and become a member of the LCMC.
  • October 2014 Celebration of 100th anniversary of St. Paul.
  • September 2015 Pastor George Qualley was installed as Senior Pastor.
  • February 2016 New steeple and repainted the church sign.
  • July 2018 St. Paul closed the doors of the St. Paul School.
