[FR] L’espace naturel sensible du val de Choisille est un site d'environ 150 hectares, sillonné de la Choisille qui s’écoule le long des prairies inondables, de boisements et de coteaux.
Le site abrite une faune et une flore précieuses qui en font un terrain d’observation pour la Ligue de Protection des Oiseaux. L’hiver, ce sont les bécassines sourdes, les sarcelles ou les hérons cendrés qui fréquentent le lieu. Aux beaux jours, les rousserolles, les faucons pèlerins ou les chevaliers cul-blanc y prennent la relève. Tout un petit monde que la LPO propose de faire observer aux visiteurs en organisant régulièrement des animations et au moyen d'observatoires mis à la disposition du public.
Un sentier de promenade d’une dizaine de kilomètres a été aménagé depuis 2013. Il vous fera découvrir cet environnement remarquable. Le spot comprend un cadre qui se fond dans le décor afin d'observer le marais. Il est accompagné d'un panneau d'information sur la zone humide.
"Un cœur de biodiversité
Le marais de Palluau est une zone humide où la nappe alluviale est affleurante. L'eau y joue le rôle principal et conditionne le développement d'une grande diversité biologique.
Au printemps et en été, le marais se couvre d'une végétation luxuriante, de ,ombreuses plantes fleurissent et une multitude d'animaux vient s'y nourrir et s'y reproduire. Oiseaux, mammifères, reptiles, libellules et autres insectes se partagent les lieux...
Soyez attentifs et vous les apercevrez sans doute !"
[EN] The sensitive natural area of the Choisille Valley is a site of about 150 hectares, crisscrossed with the Choisille flowing along floodplains, woodlands and hills.
The site is home to a valuable fauna and flora that make it an observation site for the Bird Protection League. In winter, it is the snipe, the teal or the gray herons that frequent the place. In fine weather, rousserolles (pictured below), peregrine falcons or white knights are in place. A small world that the LPO offers to observe by regularly organizing public events.
A walking trail of about ten kilometers has been created in 2013. It will make you discover this remarkable environment. The spot includes a frame that blends into the background in order to observe the marsh. It is accompanied by an information panel on the wetland.
"A heart of biodiversity
The Palluau marsh is a wetland area where the alluvial groundwater is visible all year round. Water plays the main role here and the development of the area's great biological diversitu has depended in this.
In spring and summer the marsh becomes covered in lush vegetation. Many plants flourish and a large number of animals come to feed and reproduce here. Birds, mammals, reptiles, dragonflies and other insects share the land.
Watch out and you are bound to notice them."
