The first commercial factory in Tillamook was created in 1894.
This is a great self guided tour that you will not want to miss if you are traveling on the Oregon Coast. It guides you through the cheese production process from start to finish. You can watch the incredible packaging process from the second story balcony. The free samples of cheese are abundant and they have some great ice cream available as well. There much to see and find in the gift shop and they even have a restaurant on site if you are hungry after your visit.
