"Dora Vazquez Iglesias She was born in Orense on August 21, 1913. From the age of six to thirteen she studied in La Coruña where she resides, later, at the age of seventeen, she began to study teaching at the Normal School of Orense, to practice in Teimende, Orense, for 18 years and in Larín, A Coruña, for 15.

She began to publish from a young age in publications such as La Noche en 1948, Vida Gallega, Vagalume, Céltica. He also writes in Spanish Teaching, and in Spanish School she writes stories and children's stories.

She worked for the radio with the program "Semper en Galicia" and at RNE in La Coruña in Emission Bazar.

She is the sister of the also writer Pure Vazquez with whom she has published several books.

She marries Antonio Rodríguez Vázquez and they have two children, Antonio Alejo and Abelardo. In 1963 she received the 2nd Accessit Floral Games of Ourense for "Song to the city of Orense". The First Honorable Mention for children's theater, "In search of a heart" in the II Theater and Literature Contest of the Ministry of Education and Science, Madrid 1971. In 1974 the Third Prize for Children's Poetry "Caballito Repintado" Madrid Spanish School and the First Prize in the 1st Christmas Carols Contest of Valdeorras y el Bierzo for "Luces en Belén born".
