This memorial is one of many located in this veterans memorial park. The plaque reads:

" ROLL OF (Eagle and flag emblem) HONOR
A TRIBUTE FROM THE PEOPLE OF VERONA
TO THE BOYS AND GIRLS WHO ANSWERED THE
THE COUNTRY'S CALL IN THE WORLD WAR, 1917-1919."
(followed by a list of many names in three columns.)

And at the bottom:
