The Lazarus Union Lutheran Church has a fairly large cemetery on the side and in the back of the church. The church is now Lazarus United Church of Christ.

In 1908 the old church was razed and a new one was erected. On December 3, 2013 at 4:30am a two alarm fire broke out in Lazarus Lutheran Church and it was badly damaged it. A new church was built with a cornerstone dated 2017.
