This cast iron single arch bridge was built in 1931 to give pedestrian access between a power station and its cooling tower.

Since the power station was demolished the bridge was abandoned and the gates are permanently locked. link

It was constructed by the Moonk Bridge Construction Company of York and there is a plate on the bridge stating this.
