National Register of Historic Places Inventory---Nomination Form, Page 9:
"Lutherans came to Westminster with the earliest German settlers but they did not build a separate church until 1866 when they located at 25 Carroll Street. That church burned, but the congregation rebuilt a fine Gothic church on the same lot in 1885. This building ranks as one of the eclectic beauties of the city and abounds in decorative brickwork details."
