Nordkalottleden (Swedish), Nordkalottruta (Norwegian), Kalottireitti (Finnish), Kalohtamádii (Sámi) or the Arctic trail is a long-distance hiking trail in Finnish Lapland (70 km), Northern Norway (380 km) and Swedish Norrland (350 km), crossing borders many times. It is allowed to cross borders but without dogs.
This Waymark is made at Stage 12 near the International Three Point Kolmen valtakunnan rajapyykki. This stage is 15 km and goes from Kilpisjärvi in Finland to Goldahytta in Norway.
At the site stands a memorial stone from September 2, 1993, where representatives of all three countries were present.
The route is wild and deserted, you walk along mountains, over Finland's highest mountain, cross rivers and cross large plains. Reindeer will be seen everywhere. Along the entire route there are cabins where you can stay overnight. The entire hiking route is 800 km long from Kautokeino in Finnmark to Sulitelma in Nordland and is recommended to go in the summer.
